The AUDAC CAP224 is part of AUDAC's professional CAP series of 100V multi-channel power amplifiers. With two independent 240W channels, it provides a total of 480W amplification capacity for commercial and professional audio applications.

Its two-channel architecture makes the CAP224 particularly suitable for two-zone audio systems. For example, one channel can power loudspeakers in a restaurant dining area while the second channel powers a bar, lobby, corridor or other independent area.

The CAP224 uses efficient Class-D amplification combined with a switching-mode power supply, providing high efficiency and reliable operation in permanent AV installations. A temperature-controlled fan manages cooling while minimizing unnecessary fan noise.

Each channel features a balanced XLR input, XLR link-through connection, gain adjustment and selectable 400 Hz high-pass filter. The link-through connection makes it convenient to distribute the same source signal to additional amplifiers when larger systems are required.

For system reliability, an integrated protection circuit provides protection against DC malfunction, short circuit, overheating and overload, together with signal limiting when required.
