Product Introduction

The AUDAC CALI424 is a premium 2-way 4-inch ceiling speaker designed for professional commercial audio installations where clear sound, wide coverage and easy installation are essential. Combining a 4” cone driver with a coaxially mounted 1” soft-dome tweeter, the CALI424 delivers detailed and balanced audio with excellent off-axis performance and a wide 155° conical coverage angle.

Designed for 70V/100V distributed audio systems as well as 8 Ohm low-impedance installations, the CALI424 is a flexible solution for offices, meeting rooms, retail stores, restaurants, cafés, hospitality spaces and other commercial environments.

Product Description

The AUDAC CALI424 combines premium acoustic performance with installer-friendly engineering in a compact flush-mount ceiling loudspeaker.

Its 2-way coaxial design consists of a 4” cone driver and a coaxially mounted 1” soft-dome tweeter with phase plug technology. This configuration provides smooth frequency reproduction and excellent dispersion, achieving coverage of up to 155°. The wide dispersion helps provide more consistent sound throughout the listening area while reducing the number of loudspeakers that may be required for suitable coverage.

The CALI424 offers 30W continuous AES power handling, 60W program power and 120W peak power, making it suitable for both background music and speech reproduction in professional environments.

An integrated multi-tapping transformer allows the speaker to operate in 70V and 100V distributed speaker systems, with selectable power settings via a convenient rotary switch. An 8 Ohm bypass connection is also available, allowing the CALI424 to be used with conventional low-impedance amplifiers.

Installation is simplified through AUDAC's SafeLatch™ mounting technology, helping installers securely position the speaker in the ceiling. The TwistFix™ grille system uses a twist-lock mechanism to securely attach the grille without visible borders or conventional fasteners, creating a clean and architectural appearance.

With a built-in depth of only 122 mm for CALI424I/CALI424II, the speaker is particularly useful for suspended ceilings and installations with restricted ceiling cavities.

For more demanding environments, the CALI424II features an enhanced weatherproof and humidity-resistant coating on the speaker cone and carries an IP56 rating. When used with the appropriate optional GLI grille for long-term outdoor exposure, it provides greater confidence for installations exposed to challenging environmental conditions.
